First I've made several sketches for some of the pics which were provided and couldn't decide which one I'm going to stick with. Then I understood that the ones titled as "Angel" and "Don't ask me" look basically like the same scene, just different viewpoints, so I started working on this compilation. So began the Battle of Composition, the second battle of this war. I wanted the angel to look kind of terrifying (and maybe even menacing), giant, radiating light all around, and the figure of the boy should've been very tiny in comparison, showing something in between awe, fear, and excitement. But that didn't work, and I made a great Voyage In Search For Inspiration, and finally found a cropped version of this. While the painting is actually about death, it felt better, since the interaction between the characters was more intimate, close; the angel was more corporeal, earthly - yet still divine. (Even less interesting: Also, ahem, it reminded me of this Elder Scrolls trailer supercut; while I've never played the series and, consequently, not a fan of the thing, I really enjoyed the video; I'll draw a pic about it, perhaps.)
So I kinda got nearer to the point, but there had to be another battle, the How Do You Even Draw Wings And Hugs one. After barely defeating the enemy, I had to face another one (this was not unexpected): Background. I have no idea why it had to be cemetery-like, I just thought "It's kinda awful and will make the angel look like The Angel Of Death or a cemetery sculpture, but perhaps this girl should indeed look like this".
One not-so-big foe was the Goddamned Krita Text Tool whom I never tamed. I should probably report a bug or two. The last one was the known Export Crushes Colours adversary. The resulting outcome is (by my standards) okay, though it is not perfect, of course (see the screenshot of the final image how it looked in the editor and then take a full view of the exported image.)
Anyways, I can only hope that Toradh will forgive me the overall crappiness speedpainty look of the picture.

Drawn in Krita.

I love speedpaintings, and even though I didn’t exactly expect you to combine two images into a new one, I think it's a cool idea!
Thank you for thinking about this so much!
The wings look great, too!
